LIIT Retreat

Britt, Ashley, and Monica founded The Burning Bra in 2021. Monica is mom to Britt and Ashley. Monica and her husband, Danny, have been married for 23 years. Danny adopted both girls in middle school. Britt is married, lives in NWA, and has 3 kids they adopted from foster care. Ashley lives in TN with her husband, newborn daughter, and their son. They each have a passion for women, families, and moving the world forward.

Monica has been an advocate for women for 30+ years by promoting, mentoring, and uplifting women in her career. She is also an entrepreneur who guided her team through the pandemic and her business is thriving.

Britt is a fierce advocate for women walking through various journeys of motherhood, whether that be adoption, foster care, or a birth parent. She wants to bridge the gap between foster & adoptive parents and their childrens first families. She has also walked through infertility and miscarriage and is passionate about speaking up about her experiences. Lastly, Britt is an adoptee herself and uses her voice and unique perspective as both an adoptee and adoptive parent when led to do so.

Ashley was a police officer for 4 years and specialized in domestic violence. She is passionate about providing education, resources, and support to survivors and their families.

Our mission at TBB is to provide education, resources, and direct support to women and families in need. We do this by providing business services like resume coaching, mentorship, and networking. LIIT is our annual conference that combines all of our services in a bond-building weekend. We also provide outreach services to families involved in foster care, adoption, or trying to survive or escape domestic violence.
