Monica is a fierce and successful business owner of The Pivotal Companies. She raised both Britt and Ashley alongside her husband, Danny. Danny adopted the girls when they were in middle school. Monica started her business from the ground up and made immense sacrifice to support her employees during the pandemic last year. She is a friend, mentor, and leader to many in her industry and has had the privilege to help shape and mold women throughout her career. She is also a G-mama to 5 kiddos between Britt & Ashley. She loves to spend time at the beach, play with her g-babies, and uplift other women. She is passionate about sharing her journey through empty nesting and how that looks for her and her husband now with adult children. She says parenting adult children is by far the best part of parenting! Monica leads our initiatives for women in business, business coaching, and mentorship here at TBB. She and her husband also sold their home and are traveling the United States for the time being so keep an eye out for their adventures!

Britt is the Director of Marketing here at TBB. She's also the mom in the Taylor family that we feature often. Britt and her husband, Jason, opened their home to adopt from foster care in January 2020. Who knew a pandemic was around the corner? They matched with their 2 boys in Feb 2020 and worked relentlessly to get their boys home with them in the middle of a pandemic. As they were nearing their adoption date for the boys, they got called for a baby girl. They quickly become foster parents to her and worked a case towards reunification. As they worked with baby girl's mom, it became clear that adoption was in the best interest of all involved and baby girl's mom chose adoption for her. They will be finalizing baby girl's adoption in early 2022. Britt lives in Northwest AR and is obsessed with the mountains. She loves exploring and giving her kids new experiences. Britt is an advocate for gentle parenting, fostering to reunify, and adopting waiting children. She is often who we keep in mind when building our programs to support foster + adoptive homes all over the country.

Ashley is a wife, bonus mom, and mom to be living with her husband and bonus son in TN. Ashley is a former police officer who served on the front lines. She saw a lot of domestic violence cases up close and is passionate about providing education and connecting women with resources to get them out of any situation that is unsafe. Ashley is also the lead program director and planner for our annual conferences. She spends her time scoping our venues, finding speakers, and planning meaningful activities for all of us to enjoy. Ashley is welcoming her first biological child in October of 2021.
We educate and lead women's empowerment by hosting conferences, providing free business coaching, and amplifying voices of those less privileged.
We support foster, adoptive, and biological families working towards reunification by providing services like meals, cleaning teams, and more to help families stay together.
We support our communities through providing education on voting, domestic violence, and more by partnering with fellow nonprofits.
The Burning Bra is founded to provide services that empower women in the home, in the workplace, and in the community. We build women up and meet them where they are in their current season & provide services that help them keep moving in the direction they're looking to go.
Contrary to popular folklore, there were very few bras burned in the protests during the 1960s. There was, however, a historic freedom trash can where women burned items, and those women who didn't burn their bra walked around without wearing one at all. The burning bra or lack of a bra was a symbol of freedom from men. It was the stand against being restricted and held back in any way. The symbolism is the point behind our mission, and that is how we came to create The Burning Bra nonprofit organization.
